I find the pastel color hues to be so surreal and beautiful in this photographic series called In The Swimming Pool by Slovakian photographer Maria Svarbova.

I love these geometric sculptures in nature, by environmental artist Martin Hill.
Hill uses organic materials such as ice, sticks and stones to create his site-specific installations in New Zealand. He then “preserves” these temporary artworks through photographs.

In this beautifully animated RSA Short, Dr Brené Brown explains the difference between empathy and sympathy, saying we can only create a genuine empathic connection if we are brave enough to really get in touch with our own fragilities. So true.
How often can you get a commissioned project by NASA?
These beautiful retro-style posters were designed by Invisible Creature, two award-winning brothers from Seattle. They were commissioned by NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory to design a set of “travel posters”, that would be part of a 2016 calendar, and was given as a gift to JPL and NASA staff, as well as engineers, government and university staff.
The designers were not just lucky. Their grandfather was an illustrator and graphic designer at NASA for over 30 years, so this project was obviously a special one.
Some of the limited-edition prints from the designers are sold out, but the designs are available here to download for free. I already downloaded mine!

This video by OK Go is simply unbelievable!
I am sure you are wondering “How did they do it?” Well your questions are answered here. I will just mention the words: zero gravity, 21 flights, trained acrobats & splattered paint….
OK Go is the awesome group behind this amazing video and this.

UPDATE 18/2/16: Because the video was removed from YouTube for some reason, you can now only watch it on OK Go’s official website. Just click on the image above.
It’s Friday and when it’s Friday we all have this mood! I’m not sure what is the original source, but I love these funny vintage sewing pattern GIFs.

Have a really great weekend!
I just watched the film Iris yesterday. It’s a documentary about Iris Apfel, an extraordinary woman with a very rich life, who is still a fashion icon at 94.
Iris calls herself a “geriatric starlet”. She is known for her flamboyant wardrobe and passion for accessories. She’s also known for her signature enormous glasses. But Iris was more than simply a fashion expert, she was a successful business woman—she and her husband Carl had a great textile company that gave her the opportunity to travel all over the world. Can you believe she took part in design projects at the White House for nine presidents? Truman, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon, Ford, Carter, Reagan, and Clinton!
Do yourselves a favor and watch it (you can rent it in iTunes).
As she says: “You only have one trip…. you might as well enjoy it!”
These are a few of my favorite funny cards for Valentine’s Day!
The Awkward Dating Card by Emily McDowell. “A card for when you’re kind of together but it’s not a big deal.” I love it!
You’re okay, I guess card, by Emily McDowell.

And the ultimate …Zombie Apocalypse card, by DizzyCactus.
– And if you go… where shall I go? What shall I do?
